Here we are in the last couple of weeks of 2022, and I am well on my way to planning travel for 2023. I currently have three trips fully planned and two in the works, not to mention whatever my job has lined up for me.

So what is on the horizon for 2023 travel?

I have three cruises fully planned. The first was actually planned today. I got an offer for an incredible rate that I could not refuse. A junior suite on Carnival Cruise Lines for less than the regular price of an interior room. I couldn’t pass it up. So, the first one is a four-day weekend cruise to the Bahamas in late March.

The next cruise that I have planned is a ten-day Alaska cruise, also on Carnival. This one will take place at the end of May. I think I am the most excited about this one!

Finally, I have a family cruise planned for October. This will be an eight-day cruise to the Bahamas, again on Carnival. This one is going to be somewhat special because it is the first cruise on the new ship that is coming to Mobile, AL. This is especially exciting because I live in Mobile and haven’t cruised from Mobile in over ten years!

Outside of cruises, I do have two land-based trips in the works. In January, I am planning a trip to Montreal and Quebec for my friend’s birthday. I think we may have lost our minds on this one. I mean who travels to Canada in January? I just hope that all of the airline issues have been resolved by then.

Finally, I have a weekend planned to take my dog hiking in early March. Yes, I planned a whole weekend just to play in the woods with my dog. He loves to get out on the trails with me, and I think it will be good for both of us. I haven’t decided on my destination for this particular trip just yet, but I am looking at North Alabama. There are several great trails and waterfalls in the northern part of Alabama.

Here’s to looking forward to 2023 and the adventures that it holds!
